Introduction

John Franklin grew up in Chino, California, attending Chino High School. Playing baseball, basketball, and football in high school led to John playing collegiate baseball at Cal Poly Pomona where he obtained his B.S. in Kinesiology.

Coach Franklin is entering his 6th year of teaching Physical Education. Prior to joining the San
Marino School District, Mr. Franklin taught in the Whittier Union High School District and the Inglewood
Unified School District.

Coach Franklin is an avid sports fan, mainly following baseball, basketball, and football. He is a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Chargers. During football season, Mr. Franklin is on the Stat Crew for the Los Angeles Chargers.
