About Mrs. Hsu
Mrs. Hsu is an Algebra 2 and Statistics teacher at San Marino High School, where she guides students in developing a strong foundation in mathematics. With a diverse teaching background, Mrs. Hsu has also taught Math 8 at Ramona Junior High, Math 7 at John Muir Middle School, Integrated Math 1 at Bonita High, as well as Geometry and Honors Geometry at San Marino. With a background in Business Economics and Business Management from the University of California, Irvine, Mrs. Hsu brings a unique perspective to teaching, blending analytical skills with practical applications. Currently pursuing an MBA in Finance, she is dedicated to continuous learning, furthering her expertise in investment strategies and advanced finance concepts.
In the classroom, Mrs. Hsu is known for her compassionate approach and emphasis on student accountability, helping students develop problem-solving skills and confidence. Her teaching philosophy is grounded in fostering resilience and intellectual curiosity, especially among students who may struggle with math. Outside the classroom, Mrs. Hsu has a range of interests. She trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and plays guitar and piano in a band, bringing creativity and discipline into her daily life. Mrs. Hsu also loves traveling, making the most of her school breaks to explore new places. In high school, she was active on the swim team, played both the flute and oboe in band, and participated in numerous campus clubs, reflecting her balanced and well-rounded commitment to balancing academics, athletics, and the arts.
