Biography

Krissia Molina is a graduate from The Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University Long Beach where she attained her Bachelors of Music degree in Music Education. While at BCCM, she performed internationally and nationally at the Seoul International Wind Festival, ABA National Conference, and NAfME State Conference. As a lover of New Music, she premiered new works at different NASA Conferences as well as won multiple state championships as a saxophonist. During this time, she became treasurer of Sigma Alpha Iota, an International Music Fraternity which promotes interaction among those who share a commitment to music.

 

Krissia continued to pursue her passion for music and attended the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford in Connecticut where she attained her Masters of Music degree in Saxophone Performance and continued to perform and compete in the East Coast. As a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, North American Saxophone Alliance, National Association for Music Education, California Music Educators Association, and the Western Bands Association, Krissia is an advocate for Music Education and aims to educate students through performance.

 

Before moving to San Marino, Krissia was previously the band director at South East High School in South Gate and worked at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana. With her passion for music and teaching, Krissia aims to continue to grow the program at San Marino by building a positive and nurturing community for young musicians. She currently holds the Baritone Saxophone Chair with the Bangar Big Band and on her free time likes to go on runs with her dog Kona.
