Thanks to funding from the ROP program, we are in our 2nd year of offering students the DISCOVER Program, an extensive computerized career, college and work skills search. Students make appointments with Mrs. May, our ROP Counselor, to familiarize themselves with the program. They can then access career inventories, comprehensive information on occupations, colleges and vocational training paths. Students area able to compose resumes and cover letters using the assistance of DISCOVER. All the program information, which is so valuable to students planning ahead for their future, is updated annually.

Sophomores will take the four DISCOVER Career Inventories in their English classrooms in March. These results will then be entered into the DISCOVER program and interpreted by our ROP counselor, Shari May. Juniors will spend one class period continuing their college and/or career search on the DISCOVER Program. The results are used for future ROP course offerings as well as for individual career and/or college exploration throughout their High School years.
